Using trial version considering buying
the program is very slow, only plays portion of songs, will not play quite a few songs from my library of 5000, when adding songs to a play list the playlist does not populate etc

Hey Kevin,
Is this on current hardware? Are there specific aspects that are slow?
You mean it just randomly stop playing? Or is there a pattern?
Is there any pattern to which tracks beaTunes won't play?
How do you add songs? What exactly do you do that does not work?
Would love to help, but definitely need more detailed problem descriptions.

Thanks for getting back to me. I now have bought the full version as I was
very intrigued with your program!
I need to address the most important question
1. I have a number of songs that do not play in your program there does not
seem to have similar factures at least to me they play fine in my itunes
library which is large 5,000 plus songs
2. Does BEA control or change the audio level in Itunes once analysed in BEA
3. If we start over from scratch with replacing your programs database
(music files) do I lose the same information in the Itunes library as it
has newly populated the BPM info presumably from BEA
Lets stick with these three items before venturing to anything else

Please reproduce the issue and upload your logs right afterwards (via Help -> Upload logs within the program). What format are the files in? Anything special about them? Can you attach a sample file so that I can reproduce the issue?
beaTunes plays very well with iTunes/Music.app when using an iTunes/Music.app-based collection. For details, please see https://blog.beatunes.com/2015/01/different-libraries-for-different...
Regarding audio levels: beaTunes will update the audio levels (ReplayGain or newer standards) when you ask it to, i.e. when you enable the corresponding task when running an analysis.
When you are using a folder-based collections, the tags are always written, when you are using an iTunes-based library, you need to turn on embedding prior to analysis. See also https://www.beatunes.com/en/itunes-replay-gain.html for step by step instructions.
Deleting a beaTunes database does not modify the iTunes/Music.app database in any way. However, some information like key is not stored in iTunes, so unless you have embedded it into your files, this information will be lost.
