Remove Metadata

I wonder how to remove metadata like color, mood (because I find it really inaccurate). Is this information actually saved in the m4a files itself or is it just visible in beaTunes? Which fields are really saved to the m4a file?

What kind of library did you use? Folder-based or iTunes-based?

In case it was folder-based, the values are embedded into your files.
In case it was iTunes-based, those values are only embedded, if you had the "embed non iTunes-fields" box checked at the time of analysis (general preferences).

I assume it was iTunes based since I ran an analysis on one of my iTunes playlists. I did not check the "embed non iTunes fields" check box, so I assume only the BPM was written to the files, which is fine for me. Thank you for clarifying!
