Missing key information
Hi Hendrik
beaTunes does not display existing information for me. In this specific case, the key. When I look at the tracks in MP3tag, the corresponding INITIALKEY tag is filled in. I came across this with 10cc, which has 160 tracks. However, beatunes only shows me the key for 7 tracks, while MP3tag shows it for all 160.
I removed the 10cc folder from my music folder and synced it. Then I added the folder back and synced again. Now the keys are displayed. That shouldn't be the case, right?
regards
Stephan

Hey Stephan,
which application filled in the key field? Any chance it was filled in by some third party app, after the beaTunes library was created? If so, did the third party app modify the files last modification date?
Cheers,
-hendrik

Hi Hendrik
I usually fill in these fields before importing them into beaTunes, but sometimes I do it afterward. Key Finder updates the last modified date accordingly.
To be on the safe side, I adjusted it again—deleted the key, synced, reset it with Key Finder, and synced again. The key is now displayed as I expected.
I also noticed that when I removed the key and synced, the "Klangafarbe" no longer appeared either. After the key was set by Key Finder and then synced again, the "Klangfarbe" reappeared as well.
Unfortunately, I can’t say why the key didn’t reappear for other tracks.
regards
