Hi

just started to analyse my audio-directory (iTunes is not reliable any more), and realized that beatunes consumes more than 100% in activity monitor, which causes the fan to go nuts and slowing down my macbook air.

How can I reduce the cpu consumption of beatunes to a normal level?

Thank you in advance and kind regards,
Sascha

    Hi,

CPU usage of beaTunes depends on what analysis tasks you’ve requested and how many parallel analysis threads you use. You can specify those in the preferences in the analysis pane. Note that a change won’t take effect until you restart beaTunes. Regarding analysis tasks, I highly recommend to only enable the tasks you are really interested in.

    Hope this helps,
