No Music.app playlists are imported after sync
Is it normal that Beatune version 5.2.30 is not able to import a playlist after synchronization with the Music app library in OS Ventura?

Hey Joss,
I am not quite sure I understand. Do you mean,
Is that what happens?
If so, no that's not normal. It should works. Do you see any error messages? What exactly do you do and what do you observe?
Thanks!

Hi Hendrik,
Yes this is what’s happening.
As I wrote, even if Beatunes is syncked with Music.app library (you can see tracks in screenshot).
None of the playlists in Music.app were imported, like Beatunes use to do before.
Even if I try to import a xml playlist I exported from Music.app, it is grayed out in the upload window (second screenshot).
I have to mention that my library is on a external hard drive.
I had to tell Beatunes where the Music.app library file was to be syncked to.
Does it make sense?

Hi,
this sounds a lot like you have created a folder-based beaTunes collection, not one that is connected to Music.app or iTunes. This slightly older blog post explains the difference.
If you'd like beaTunes to reflect your Music.app playlists, you must create Music.app-based beaTunes collection (explained in the linked article for iTunes).
Hope this helps,

Henrik,
Your blog post dates back 2015.
Music.app has some differences with the late iTunes.
First it doesn’t have the same preferences window, as you can see here.
Share iTunes library xml is no longer in there.
I tried to ask Beatunes to create a library based on Music.app, but I got an error message.
It says in brief that sending the Apple event to Music is not authorized.
This is why I chose the folder base library, which is of no use for what I want to do.
Can find a solution for this?

You have to authorize it, otherwise it does not work.
Hope this helps,

Yes! that’s it.
Thanks for the info.
You could add it to your your blog post.
Have a great day or night

Hmmm….
When I ask Beatunes to analyse songs, nothing happens.
No data is changed or added to the songs.

Are there any messages in the analysis pane?

No. It seems to be stuck.

Hm. Not sure what happened there... Which analysis tasks did you enable? Please upload your logs, from within the app, Help -> Upload logs. Perhaps there are hints there.

(I won't be able to look at the logs before tomorrow, though)

It’s working now. I forgot about the firewall
Thanks
