Not all BPM values being fed into iTunes
Hi. BeaTunes has successfully given BPM values to all the songs in my library but for many of them (about 1,600 out of 30,000) it has failed to feed those values into iTunes - the field is blank.
I can't see anything different about those files compared with the ones for which it has worked.
I've tried synchronising a few times. I could try forcing an overwrite of existing BPM values (though for these songs there isn't any BPM value) and see if that works. But I don't really want to do that, so does anyone have any other ideas please? Many thanks.

Do those tracks have BPM values in beaTunes?
If so, please check the box "Force overwriting of fields..." in beaTunes' general preferences and analyze the songs without iTunes BPM value again (in beaTunes). Also, in the analysis options, check the "replace" existing value box for BPM. You won't get around that.
To make this as easy as possible for you, I recommend to sort your songs by BPM in iTunes, select all tracks that have no BPM value and create a playlist for them. Then switch to beaTunes, wait a couple of seconds, and synchronize. Once the new playlist shows up in beaTunes, select it in the tree view and then choose File -> Analyze. This ensures that only the tracks with no BPM are analyzed.

Thanks Hendrik - much appreciated. Yes they do. Your final paragraph may be the piece of the puzzle I was missing - I couldn't work out how to isolate the songs in question in beaTunes so that I would only be overwriting them (because in beaTunes everything has a BPM value) but that would be the way to do it. I'll try that and report back. Many thanks.

Thanks again. This worked, with the exception of 4 songs which I can deal with manually.
