Hi BeaTunes,
I get this error a lot:
beaTunes was unable to determine the PUID of track 'Track 02'. This
may indicate a network problem.
I use a macbook running snow leopard with itunes 9.0.3 to
administer my music library.
My media is stored on an external drive (a LaCie) over our wireless
network.
Any ideas? Which "network" is it talking about?
Thanks so much.

if you experienced a crash or other abnormal behavior, you might
want to attach log files from /Users/Dad/Library/Logs/beaTunes

PUID lookup connects to the Internet and tries to look up - well
the PUID and perhaps title/album/etc. of a song. This can fail to
due to a number of reasons. One may be that you are not connected
to the Internet or that the connection is too slow. Another might
be that the MusicIP backend server is under heavy load and simply
does not answer quickly enough.

I hope this explains the message.

I was told by an AmplifiedMusicServices/MusicIP rep, that they
did have some trouble with their servers and that the problem is
now solved.

Perhaps that was the issue you were seeing.
