Try turning all tasks but the BPM task off and make sure to turn "Use Online Resources" on. For some tracks, beaTunes may be able to find the right values in its online database without having to analyze the actual track. Note that this relies on having correct textual metadata.

I just downloaded the trial free version of 5.2.35. Even if I set it to only analyze BPM and use online resources.....fully half of my library cant be assigned a BPm dur to "DRM protected content not supported." Thoiughts?

If the track has not been analyzed by anybody that own a non-DRM version, it's not in the central database. Since encrypted music cannot be analyzed, beaTunes won't be able to assign a BPM value to it.
