Can you explain in detail what you do in which program, what you expect and what you observe?

Thanks!

hendriktag:help.beatunes.com,2009-07-24:Comment/477405312019-10-17T16:31:23Z2019-10-17T16:31:24ZBeatunes is not updating the playlist order after running sync

Ah, I see. I have been using beatunes to organize the order of my tracks within a playlist. I prefer to do this in beatunes because it allows me to monitor compatible key changes between tracks. But it s ok sounds like I will need to put both apps side by side and manually make changes in iTunes.

You should work in just one app.

If you work in iTunes, the changes will be imported during the next sync.

If you work in beaTunes, changes should be propagated to iTunes right away

Switching between both apps back and forth (focus switch) could trigger continuous synchronization, which will do more harm than good, because of the occasional stale state error.

hendriktag:help.beatunes.com,2009-07-24:Comment/477405312019-10-17T16:56:54Z2019-10-17T16:56:55ZBeatunes is not updating the playlist order after running sync

Understood, thanks
