I was attempting to make a playlist and matchlist and received the errors? What do you think I should do?

    Hi,

Please upload your logs (in beaTunes -> Help -> Upload Logs).

    Thanks.

Will do. At the moment Beatunes seems to be rebuilding the database. I
just recently analyzed my whole library. Will I have to do that over again?

    You should not need to.
Rebuilding is unfortunately sometimes necessary when beaTunes was not shut down properly or ran out of memory.

How long does the rebuilding process take? My music library is
    approximately 530 GB.

As long as the initial import.

Okay, I have another question. I may be able to restore some of the
files from my lost volume. Are there specific files that contains the
playlist files and is there a way for me to put them back into my new
install of Beatunes on the new SSD volume?

Unless you have manually exported your playlists, they are only stored in the internal database (which you are apparently rebuilding right now, but without the playlists).

So, when the database is restored, I will not have anymore playlists?

    Let me back-paddle a little.

    There are two different functions:

    • database repair (the internal database is just fixed and afterwards as good as before)
    • database rebuild (the internal database is completely rebuild from your audio files)

Now the question is, do you use an iTunes or folder-based collection?

If you are using an iTunes-based collection, your playlists will be re-imported from iTunes.

If you are using a folder-based collection, there is unfortunately nowhere your playlists can be re-imported from, unless you created backups of some form.

My collection is iYTunes based. However, when I reinstalled iTunes, I
lost all the old playlists. I did back up some of the iTunes playlists
and will probably import them back into iTunes.

Then beaTunes will be able to import them from iTunes once you synchronize.

How many tracks are in your collection?

    67832 tracks.

Did rebuilding the database solve the NullPointerException issue?
