Thanks for your mail. I doubt that you do anything wrong. Could
you
please send me your logs - that way maybe I get a better idea
of
what's going wrong. The logs are in ~/Library/Logs/beaTunes -
please
simply zip the whole folder before sending it.

Thanks!

This sounds like a threading problem.
Could you please try the following:

start beaTunes

start analysis for BPM or key

make sure beaTunes hangs

open a Terminal.app window

type in
jps

make note of beaTunes' number

type in
jstack THENUMBER
- with THENUMBER replaced
with the jps number

send me the output of the jstack command

Thank you,

the returned number is for beatunes as it makes no reference to it.
Anyway it returned 227 so I stuck that with jstack and the result
was pretty long. I'll post it anyway. I hope it's the right
thing.

Matt Mitchelltag:help.beatunes.com,2009-07-24:Comment/7185372009-12-15T10:28:31Z2009-12-15T10:28:31ZBeatunes hangs or crashes everytime I try analyze a track.

Hi Matt,

thanks for the stack trace - that was exactly the thing I was
looking for.
I think the problem is solved in beaTunes 2.1.
Can you please try out <a href=

and let me know, whether it solves the issue?

Thanks,

key for this version? Thanks for the help

Matt Mitchelltag:help.beatunes.com,2009-07-24:Comment/7185372009-12-16T08:47:45Z2009-12-16T08:47:45ZBeatunes hangs or crashes everytime I try analyze a track.

Hi Matt,

I am working on the final 2.1 release right now - it should be
out later today.
If you already have a 2.0 key it will continue to work (for all 2.x
versions). If not, you can buy one on the website.

But: If I was you, I would stick with the EA version until it
stops working. It is unlimited in functionality without the need
for a key. Once you install the real 2.1 version, you cannot commit
inspection solutions unless you have a key.
