With the new update, custom iTunes smart playlists no longer show up as a "source." Beatport and Amazon lists show up instead. This is a huge disappointment. Please put it back the way it was.

Sometimes I turn off the genre and bpm filter and create my own smart playlist in iTunes — example: “includes ‘chillout’ ‘downtempo’ ‘dub,’ bpm range ‘115 - 120.” Without that, BeaTunes gets to choose 'Indie Dance’ for me which is not related.

Thanks.

Can you please try to sync and/or restart beaTunes? Any error messages? Does the problem persist?

So whenever I update the app, I need to repair the database. That was the problem last time also.

a repair should only be necessary after an
OutOfMemoryError
or a forced shutdown. A simple update does not require a repair...

What else would you suggest?

John Bergmantag:help.beatunes.com,2009-07-24:Comment/450275022018-04-05T10:14:55Z2018-04-05T10:14:55ZCustom iTunes Playlist Source not available

No—it always fixes such issues. It's the correct fix. It's just that the issues shouldn't happen in the first place.

Did you experience memory issues or did you have to kill beaTunes? That would be the cause. Repairing is the remedy.

hendriktag:help.beatunes.com,2009-07-24:Comment/450275022018-04-05T10:27:07Z2018-04-05T10:27:07ZCustom iTunes Playlist Source not available

I haven’t experienced any more memory issues — especially since I upgraded my MacBook. 2015 MacBook Pro, 8g ram, 1tb storage, 2.7Ghz i5.
