for some reason the internal database was in a bad state and beaTunes attempted to repair it, but failed. At the bottom of that gibberish dialog there should be a question: "Would you like to rebuild your database from your audio files" with the options Yes and No. Since they're not visible for you, please just click on the dialog (if it is still open) and hit the Enter key. That should select Yes. beaTunes should then restart and rebuild the database.

Should this not work, please shut down beaTunes and follow the instructions given in http://help.beatunes.com/kb/troubleshooting/downgrade-from-beatunes... up to the point where you delete the database. Then start beaTunes.

Hope this helps,

Thanks for the update. Much appreciated.
Unfortunately I'm unable to follow the instructions as given.
The application error screen shows no options to click on - I'm unable to scroll to bottom of the page.
Aslo struggling to follow the instructions in the attachment - as I'm not familiar with finder I'm not following the instruction underlined- cannot follow the file path.
Could this be explained to me?
Many thanks.
David
Stop beaTunes
On macOS, open Finder and go to /Users/YOUR_USER_NAME/Library/Application Support/beaTunes/ (you may have to use Go to Folder... from Finder's Go menu, as Finder hides Library from you)
On Windows, open File Explorer and go to C:\Users<username>\AppData\Local\tagtraum industries\beaTunes
Delete the directory Database, as it contains the beaTunes 5 database
Best Regards

"Finder" is the application you have at the top pf your dock. The file manager. It has a menu called
Go
, which contains an item called
Go to Folder
. Just click on that and enter
/Users/YOUR_USER_NAME/Library/Application Support/beaTunes/
(you will have to substitute
YOUR_USER_NAME
with your real user name). Once you are in the correct folder, delete the
Database
folder.

hendriktag:help.beatunes.com,2009-07-24:Comment/446581872018-02-07T23:17:46Z2018-02-07T23:17:46ZBeatunes Fails to load - connection issue

Hello Hendrik,

Thank you so much for your update.

I was able to locate the database through the Go to option under Finder, and delete the database.

BeaTunes is now re-opening successfully.

Looking forward to working with the Software to streamline my music Database.
