Here is the message I get: A fatal error occurred during initialization: org.hibernate.exception.SQLGrammarException: could not prepare statement

I am upgrading from version 4 to version 5. I rarely had problems with version 4.
My OS is Windows 10.

the .rar you sent unfortunately does not contain all logs files—the most important one beaTunes.log is missing. Explorer may be hiding the extension from you.

Can you please send all files from the logs folder?
Also, when you first upgraded to v5, did you see any messages saying that the schema migration has failed?

I don't recall but there was something that flashed up and disappeared as quickly so it might have said that the migration failed.

thanks for the logs. Please so the following:

    • Downgrade back to version 4. How that is done is described on http://help.beatunes.com/kb/troubleshooting/downgrade-from-beatunes...
    • While running beaTunes 4, please open the Tools menu and choose Repair Database. This should repair your version 4 database.
    • If the repair succeeds, upgrade back to beaTunes 5.
    • If the repair does not succeed, rebuild your version 4 database (also via Tools), then upgrade to version 5.

    Hope this helps,
