there is a great overview article on matchlists at http://blog.beatunes.com/2015/02/creating-great-playlists.html
It explains how it all works together. My guess is, that you need to lower the "Match Quality".

One good way of playing with this, is to

Make sure the Matching Songs panel is on (e.g. controllable via
View
->
Matching Songs
)

Select some song in the main table

You should see matching songs below the main table

Now open the preferences

Select the Song Matching pane

Move the "Match Quality" slider

The Matching Songs panel is updated, i.e. more or fewer songs appear

Add or remove one of the rules and the results should change again

Etc.

Creating a MatchList is very similar. The main difference is that you can add limits, rules and built a list on more than one seed song.

Hope this helps,

rule for matching BPM and it still says it can't find anything in the
match. I have about 3000 songs ranging from 60 to 180 BPM, used a single
rule of bpm match from 120-140 and it still can't find matching bpm
songs that fit this range even though I have hundreds.

Paultag:help.beatunes.com,2009-07-24:Comment/440750912017-11-20T16:17:54Z2017-11-20T16:17:54ZMatchlist not working at all

Hey Paul,

can you please send a screenshot of both your match rule set (in the preferences) and what you entered in the Match List creation dialog? Perhaps I can spot the issue.

Thank you,
