<p>Thanks for the logs. Please try the following:</p>
<p>In the beaTunes general preferences, there is a checkbox labeled <em>Synchronize on window activation</em>. It basically instructs beaTunes to re-scan your library for changes whenever you switch back and forth between beaTunes and another application. I suspect this is turned <em>on</em>. Please turn it <em>off</em>.</p>
<p>You can still scan for changes made by third party programs, simply by clicking on <code>File</code> -> <code>Synchronize</code>.</p>
<p>Does this make a difference for you?</p>
