It will be fixed in EA3 (probably tomorrow)

hendriktag:help.beatunes.com,2009-07-24:Comment/427238402017-06-07T18:57:07Z2017-06-07T18:57:07ZDragging 2nd song to Matchlist window replaces original song

I think there's a similar one that I'm unable to test at the moment.

Add song A to a Matchlist. Change the sort order of the source. Drag song B to the Matchlist window.

If memory serves, song A will be replaced by the first song listed in the source.

I could be off on this one, though. It's not a scenario I encounter as often.

evansthompsontag:help.beatunes.com,2009-07-24:Comment/427238402017-06-08T06:51:35Z2017-06-08T06:51:35ZDragging 2nd song to Matchlist window replaces original song

Sounds plausible.
Should be the same bug.

hendriktag:help.beatunes.com,2009-07-24:Comment/427238402017-06-08T11:58:02Z2017-06-08T11:58:02ZDragging 2nd song to Matchlist window replaces original song

The fix is now public:
Or not. :)

evansthompsontag:help.beatunes.com,2009-07-24:Comment/427238402017-06-09T01:57:14Z2017-06-09T06:56:38ZDragging 2nd song to Matchlist window replaces original song

Awesome. I just tried it, and it's definitely fixed. :)

There are a couple things, though...

I just created a Matchlist using 2 seed songs. It was much slower than 4.x. This is the EA4 Snapshot. There's a significant delay before beaTunes displays the message about finding matching songs, and the CPU usage shoots up (as expected). The amount of time to finish and display the playlist also seems noticeably longer.

Second, I'm unable to rename the playlist from Playlist until I've selected a different Source and iTunes has caught up (based on iTunes CPU usage.) This is with a Matchlist limit of 250 songs. I can't drag to select Playlist nor use ⌘+A to select all (on macOS, obviously), or type over it. If I lower the Matchlist limit to 100 songs, there's no problem with naming the playlist, but creating the Matchlist still feels slower than 4.x. (I uploaded some Logs after this, I think.)

Third (and this is in 4.x, too), if a Matchlist is in a folder and I Update it, the updated Matchlist usually ends up out of the folder and displays below all the folders. If I put the Matchlist back in a folder and Update it again, it stays in the folder.

evansthompsontag:help.beatunes.com,2009-07-24:Comment/427238402017-06-09T06:57:19Z2017-06-09T06:57:19ZDragging 2nd song to Matchlist window replaces original song

Good. I'll close this one then.

I've split of a new discussion with the other issues.
