Sounds like you're trying to use 32 bit beaTunes without QuickTime installed.
So, either install http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download/ or use the 64 bit version instead.

Quicktime is installed, just updated. Going to restart system and try again.

Thomas,
Let me know how that goes - restart after installation is a good idea. Often that ensures dll are registered properly.

Hey Thomas,
can you please send me your logs then? Sometimes it's a little bit more precise than the message that's displayed.
See http://help.beatunes.com/kb/troubleshooting/where-are-the-beatunes-... for how to send logs. If you use the upload mechanism, please let me know, once you did.
Thanks!

Done. I even tried installing the older version but had the same issue
Support Staff 7 Posted by hendrik on Aug 27, 2015 @ 07:11 AM
Thanks for the logs.
If QuickTime is properly installed this problem is sometimes caused by an older installation of a QuickTime DLL taking precedence.
This file is called "qtmlclient.dll".
Can you please search your system for this file and let me know where you find it?
Thanks.

Odd... beaTunes should have displayed an error message, pointing that out...
Guess, I'll have to work on the error reporting.
