BeaTunes 4.0
Just bought the license for the BeaTunes 4.0 Every time I go to enter the registration details, BeaTunes freezes and will not respond.
I have attempted to enter the reg. code 5 times and the program stops responding.
Please advise on what to do.

Hey Ken,
Can you please go to the Help menu, choose Upload Logs and let me know when you've done so?
Thanks,

Thanks for your quick response.
I was able to enter the license code and get Bea Tunes working. Now I would
like to know how to shut off the information pup up announcing the song
playing. This make an awful loud pop noise that I don't want
Again Thank You

I'm not quite sure what pop noise you are referring to and whether it's in any way connected to a popup.
The popup—is that the system tray popup? Does the noise occur on any song or just songs of a certain format (like mp3)?
I noticed that you sent the first post from a computer using Windows XP.
XP is not officially supported by beaTunes (see system requirements), because it does not support certain audio decoding libraries first introduced by Microsoft in Windows Vista (and made usable in Windows 7). The issue can very well stem from there. Are you using the 32 bit or the 64 bot version?
Cheers,

Hi Hendrik
The pop up is from the Bea Tunes system tray icon, this pop is a notifier
of the track that just starts and does this on every song that starts.
I am using 32 bit on XP.

Xp might be the issue.
Can you please upload your logs as I have described before?
Thanks!

This seems to be a sound played by XP.
Browsing the web, I found, you might be able to turn it off under:
-> Control Panel / Sounds and Audio Devices / Sound tab
Not having run XP for a long time, I can't confirm this, though.

Thank you Hendrik,
I've done as you suggested " Control Panel / Sounds and Audio Devices /
Sound tab"
I turned off system tray notifier and so far this worked. I did notice
though when I add tracks, not all are giving me the genre, most are posting
"other"
Is there something that I can do to resolve this?
Thanks for your help.

That's probably what's embedded in the files.
You could e.g. open the
Get Info
dialog in beaTunes for one of those files, go to theInfo
tab and right-click on the genre field. beaTunes may be able to give you suggestions.10 Posted by kengorenc on Apr 20, 2015 @ 09:46 PM
Thank you Hendrik
I figured it out how to change genre after I emailed you. So far this works
great. It would be nice if a playlist would come out the side like itunes
does, and a way for you to be able to right click and have an option to
play next track like itunes does.
I like beatunes layout better than Itunes.
Thanks for your help.

You mean "Play Next" from the context menu?

Please contact bea Tunes support and mention this message.

Hey Ken,
this sounds like you are using the 32 bit version of beaTunes which requires QuickTime. But you don't have QuickTime installed.
Please either install it from http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download/
Thanks,
-hendrik

Hi Hendrik,
I had to get a new laptop, this one has windows 7, I installed QuickTime,
should I uninstall beaTunes and reinstall it?
Thank you

No need to uninstall beaTunes, just reboot the computer.
But either need the 64 bit version of beaTunes or you need to install QuickTime, if you want to keep on using the 32 bit version.
Cheers,
-hendrik

Hi Hendrik
I would like the 64 bit version of beaTunes, I don't use quicktime for
anything, I use VLC for video.
Where do I find the link for the 64 bit of beatunes.
Thanks for your help
