Why I will not buy or recommend beatunes
1) Freezes when I quit it. I have to kill it using the OS
2) Synch doesn't work. I have to quit and restart beatunes in order
to see changes to iTunes playlist
3) I doesn't import m3u
4) I can't drag tracks or playlist into beatunes from Traktor
5) As I was writing this message, your product froze on startup. It
just kept spinning the beachball on "Thank you for trying beaTunes"
dialog.
6) It occupies 5!!!!! times more memory than iTunes which is an
overbloated piece of crap that does all kinds of stuff it has no
business having it as features. What does that say about your
product?
What you want like $40 for some beta grade software? Yea right. I though making software crappier that iTunes is impossible. Well beaTunes showed me!
BTW, I'm using 2.5 GHz Core i5, 4Gb of memory, Osx 10.9

Hi,
most of the issues you mentioned can probably be addressed by granting beaTunes more memory. How that is done, is described on http://www.beatunes.com/beatunes-outofmemoryerror.html Naturally, that doesn't solve problem 6). But I figured I mention it anyway.
If, due to memory problems your internal beaTunes database is already broken, this can be fixed with http://help.beatunes.com/kb/troubleshooting/database-corruption-rec...
Cheers,
-hendrik
BTW: iTunes is produced by Apple with its billions of $$, beaTunes is produced by a single person.

I am new to BeaTunes, but thought I would give my 5cent response to octane.power.
For software fairly specialized, the price is not unreasonable. Also, your given a free trial of the software as well.
