Can't add directory based library
I'm not able to add a directory based muic library to
beatunes.
I preferences I coose directory based and then navigate to the
folder which contains the audio files. When I select this folder
and click open, the windows shows the content of the folder but the
open button is greyed out and so I can't add this library (see
attached screen capture).
What can I do to add this folder as the beatunes library?
Thanks in advance
Matthias

Hi Matthias,
due to a mix-up the beaTunes version on http://www.beatunes.com/beatunes-download.html contained a bundled Oracle 7. That is not per se a bad thing. However, there is a bug in Oracle's Java 7. See http://bugs.sun.com/bugdatabase/view_bug.do?bug_id=7161437 is fixed for details.
The mix-up has been resolved. Please simply download http://www.beatunes.com/download/beaTunes-3-5-12-osx.dmg and install it - it should solve the issue.
Thanks,
-hendrik

Hi Hendrik,
thanks a lot for your quick answer.
I have already installed beatunes version 3.5.12 and tried if my problem is solved before I submitted my problem. But unfortunately the described behavior still exists in 3.5.12.
I also deleted all files of beatunes and tagtraum from this machine and reinstalled beatunes, but with no success. I'm still not able to add a file based library.
I don't have installed Java 7 on this machine. Could it be an useful idea to load Java 7 from Oracle site and install it on this machine?
Thanks,
Matthias

Hi Hendrik,
yesterday I had the time to redownload Beatunes and You've rigt, it works.
Now I was able to add the file based directory. I also could add a directory which is on a NAS drive, that is great.
My problem is solved.
Thank You very much for Your assistance.
Best,
Matthias
