this line:

-Xmx1200m{vm.memory.heap.max}

is malformed. It must be:

-Xmx1200m

in both files.
Theoretically, the Windows installer now respects your manual
changes when you update.
I.e. when the next update comes around, simply run the installer of
the new version without uninstalling the old version first. The old
memory settings should not be overwritten anymore.

It's peculiar as the last modified date & time of the files
was when I did the upgrade?

conroyknapptag:help.beatunes.com,2009-07-24:Comment/234126062013-01-03T14:56:12Z2013-01-03T14:56:12Z3.5.10 jave machine

Well, not the original file is preserved, but a copy. That would
explain it.

hendrik
