Capitalization

I have a few albums I purchased from a band's website (that wasn't on iTunes). 320kbps MP3s. The album and track names are all lowercase, and Beatunes hasn't pointed this out for correction as it has with other suspicious capitalization. It has noticed other grammar problems with other tracks, like capital "I" in "in". I have tried a manual inspection (which seemed to inspect the entire library).

Is there a way to get Beatunes to take care of this for me without having to manually rename a band's discography by hand?

    Oops I should have specified this is Beatunes 3.5.1, iTunes 10.5.3.3, and Win7 Pro x64 SP1. :)

    Hi Ryan,

can you give an example for the track name you'd like to see recognized as an issue?

    Thanks,

    Some example track names:
it's not for sale, francis, blaster master / contra, the legend of hallowbike

    A couple album names:
    brass, brass 2: mouth

Basically just anything that's totally lowercase?

Thanks for the quick response :)

And all of these are visible in beaTunes and not just iTunes?

In other words, did beaTunes get a chance to sync before you ran the inspection?

Hendrik- This suddenly started working. It also found some previously missed problems like conflicting language tags. I didn't do anything special outside of rip a new CD in iTunes. I did notice, however, the capitalization correct likes to change "Welcome" to "WelCome". Just thought I'd give you an update. Still a really useful product. :)

    Hey Ryan!

Sounds like it was a synchronization issue after all.
What's the exact name of the inspection that suggests the "Welcome" -> "WelCome" change?

    Thanks,

    -hendrik

"Welcome Back" and "Welcome People" both did it. Hope this helps, thanks!

    Thanks, Ryan,

If the issue is still reproducible, could you please take a screenshot of the whole beaTunes Window, showing the issue?
I'm having a hard time reproducing it on my computer.

    Thanks!

    Thank you!
Which language does beaTunes think that song is in?
If it's not English, does changing it to English solve he issue?

No problem, glad I still had one of the "issues" I hadn't told it to ignore. The "Get Info" window says Language: English, if that's what you mean. It was downloaded via iTunes, and I've used your analysis engine to do a full analysis for BPM, mood, etc (as I do for all tracks outside of spoken word).

    Hey Ryan,

thanks for the info. I think I found the problem and fixed it.
Could you please try out http://www.beatunes.com/download/beaTunes-3-5-3-SNAPSHOT-jre-win.exe ?

    Thank you,

    Hendrik,

Seems it no longer flags "Welcome" to be changed to "WelCome". This version didn't suggest changing WelCome back to normal (I had just left it that way), I had to change it manually. But once that was done, it's no longer suggesting WelCome. :)

    Thanks for trying it out.
What you observed was exactly what I expected. Good.
It will be a fix in the next minor update.

    Thanks!
