Hi-

I am having an issue with the color code in beatunes 3.5.0. It is returning a yellow color code for all analysed songs. This was not happening with the earlier version of beatunes. Only started after upgrading this morning. Please advise.

Thanks-

Don

    Hi Don,

are you on Windows or in OS X? If you are in Windows, please update to 3.5.1 (a nasty little bug made it into 3.5.0 for Windows).
    Also, please read http://blog.beatunes.com/2012/02/beatunes-35-is-out.html

    Thank you.

Hendrik- Please disregard my earlier note. It has been fixed! I forgot to
click replace existing color!!! Oh well....I am a noob!! Thanks for the
    quick response.

Thanks Hendrik. Unfortunately after re installing version 3.5.1, the issue
still exists. Key Notation looks right as does BPM, however, the color key
is still returning yellow for all analyzed songs. Please advise.

    Thanks-Don

Hello Hendrik. I am using Windows 7 operating system. I did read the
article and thank you. Reloading beatune 3.5.1 fixed the issue. I also
needed to check the replace button for the color key when reanalyzing.
    Thanks.

That issue looks to be solved, however, while I have you. I noticed that
after selecting embed non-itunes fields when using replay gain, I get a ton
of temp/old files on the analyzed songs. Any idea what that is??

    Hi,

did you analyze only* ReplayGain or did you have any other analysis steps checked (like BPM or Color)?

I had both h BPM and Color checked as well. It doesn't seem to happen when
I do not check embed non-itunes info. Thanks.

Well, those temp files definitely shouldn't be there.
    I will look into it.

Hendrik- I seem to be having many different issues all surrounding the upgrade to 3.5.1. The color issue has been resolved, however, I now have issues with BPM/Syncing/Temp files. Here is a description of the issue:

    1. When analysing songs, BMP is calculated however, is not syncing with I tunes (I am using an ITunes library).
    2. When I go into ITunes, I can enter a manual BPM and it will show up in beatunes.
    3. When going into song files via windows explorer, I have a multitude of temp and .old files under each song that have been analyzed.

This is frustrating and I cannot seem to fix it.

    Please advise.

    Hi Don,

my apologies for the late reply.

    ad 1)
Which way is not working? From iTunes to beaTunes or from beaTunes to iTunes?

    ad2)
This does not seem to be a problem, right?

    ad3)
This shouldn't be the case. I tried to reproduce this, but can't. Any chance some of your files are read-only?

    Thanks,

    -hendrik

Hi Hendrik- No worries. I seem to have narrowed this issue down. The temp
files only happen when I have "embed non-iTunes fields to audio files"
checked. When that method is employed, the multiple temp files appear and
the BPM field does not fill in on all tracks. I have all files as
read/write capable. Because I was only using the embed check box while
trying to run replay gain, I am now just using ITunes sound check. Because
I only use Itunes/Ipod to play music, this works for me. Thanks for your
    response.
