<p>Does the problem also occur when you <em>do not</em> analyze for
color?</p>
<p>Thanks,</p>
<p>-hendrik</p>
<p>BTW: The color algorithm in 3.5 has changed compared to earlier
versions. You might want to re-run this one analysis on your whole
collection, so that all color values are computed by the same
algorithm.</p></div>hendriktag:help.beatunes.com,2009-07-24:Comment/132313642012-01-28T10:53:45Z2012-01-28T10:53:45ZNot enough Memory for Java VM [3.5 EA6]<div><p>Oh - and I saw that you selected <em>Find Silence</em> with a
value of 0%.<br>
That's pointless. You might as well turn that off.</p></div>hendriktag:help.beatunes.com,2009-07-24:Comment/132313642012-01-28T13:12:38Z2012-01-28T13:12:38ZNot enough Memory for Java VM [3.5 EA6]<div><p>Hi, I'm rerunning the color check over my whole library now. At
this time thousands of songs have been analyzed without an error.
Thanks for the point with Find Silence. I though 0% will crop only
when there is absolute digital silence.</p>
<p>I'll inform you how it is going ...</p></div>Tekltag:help.beatunes.com,2009-07-24:Comment/132313642012-01-28T15:49:07Z2012-01-28T15:49:07ZNot enough Memory for Java VM [3.5 EA6]<div><p>Regarding "Detect Silence": You actually have a point there.</p></div>hendriktag:help.beatunes.com,2009-07-24:Comment/132313642012-01-29T14:51:57Z2012-01-29T14:51:57ZNot enough Memory for Java VM [3.5 EA6]<div><p>Hi,</p>
<p>BeaTunes analyzed all songs without an Error. I now start with
Key and Find Silence.</p>
<p>Btw. I have some songs with hidden tracks where the hidden track
is in the last track after a very long silence. This breaks
playlists. Is it possible to detect silence inside the song and
mark it as a track end when it is longer than half a minute?</p>

<p>as I couldn’t update BeaTunes from the iTunes.xml anymore
I tried to delete the Application Support folder of BeaTunes.

anymore at the moment but the color issue still exists. I analyzed

performed the color analyses. I hat to run it 8 times as every
batch only detected one color. There were no errors in the

<p>sorry for the late reply - I'll look into it. It may just be a
display error (i.e. an old value is shown, even though the new
value has been set/computed).</p>

<p>i was short in time, but the 3.5.2-release has the same bugs. I
often get the memory error and the color often is applied after
several attempts. I even tried to restart Beatunes before the next
attempt and I also tried to let it load the value from the file. It
also happen when selecting just 8 files.</p></div>Tekltag:help.beatunes.com,2009-07-24:Comment/132313642012-02-29T15:14:47Z2012-02-29T15:14:47ZNot enough Memory for Java VM [3.5 EA6]<div><p>Hi,</p>

<p>I always have to adjust the memory settings. Is there a way to

<p>I know - that's quite annoying!<br>
But unfortunately, there is currently no way to remedy this.</p>
<p>Sorry,</p>

available memory? Putting the options into the preferences folder
is not possible?</p></div>Tekltag:help.beatunes.com,2009-07-24:Comment/132313642012-10-09T08:36:13Z2012-10-09T08:36:13ZNot enough Memory for Java VM [3.5 EA6]<div><p>I could increase it by default.<br>
The problem with that is, once the Java VM temporarily used a lot
of memory, it only very reluctantly gives it back to your system.
As most users don't need a heap larger than the default, I don't
want to burden their systems unnecessarily. That's why the default
is the way it is.<br>
Also, (at least on OS X) the installer is quite dumb - it can't
query the system for it's memory.<br>
Regarding putting it in the preferences. That's kind of possible,
but not super easy. The heap parameter can only be changed at
startup and would at least require a restart.</p>
<p>Let me assure you, that the problem is as annoying to me as it
is for you. Improving the situation will stay on my constant TODO
list.</p></div>hendriktag:help.beatunes.com,2009-07-24:Comment/132313642012-10-09T09:28:57Z2012-10-09T09:28:57ZNot enough Memory for Java VM [3.5 EA6]<div><p>Okay, I understand. Maybe you could provide a Script or a
function inside BeaTunes to automate editing the plist files.</p></div>Tekltag:help.beatunes.com,2009-07-24:Comment/132313642013-05-29T08:32:58Z2013-05-29T08:32:58ZNot enough Memory for Java VM [3.5 EA6]<div><p>Hi,</p>
