<p>I would like to understand why the different information linked
to my music library tends to disappear very often to reappear when
I launch a new analysis. I loose time on every occasion I want to
use the program to complete my library information because it is
impossible to know which song have effectively been analysed and
which information is kept because it simply doesn't show up. My
system isn't the newest one off course but running a 3800+ AMD
double core x64 processor with 4Gb of RAM shouldn't be a trouble,
should it ?</p>
<p>Thank you</p>

the one above. How is it possible that information analysed even
more than one around song which are in my library since years (I
support your software since a long time, please make me
continue...) don't show their information ? After upgrading - and
buying by the same occasion v.3 of your software hoping analysis
would be faster for instance - I already re analysed my library and
again the info doesn't show up...</p></div>michachotag:help.beatunes.com,2009-07-24:Comment/97081632011-09-02T12:04:22Z2011-09-02T12:18:34ZInformation appearing/disappearing<div><p>And while writing my second message suddenly information shows
up even without new analysis...</p>

it's the ultimate one. I would also like to know how to change the
interface language of beaTunes. My Windows is in English and my
iTunes as well. Software-wise I always work in English and it's
unfortunate some software automatically set their interface to
French (in my case) just because I live in Belgium and my keyboard
is set to Belgium/French...</p>
<p>Thank again</p></div>michachotag:help.beatunes.com,2009-07-24:Comment/97081632011-09-03T11:20:04Z2011-09-03T11:20:04ZInformation appearing/disappearing<div><p>Hi,</p>
<p>thanks for your message.</p>
<ol>
<li>Can you please let me know, how you check analysis results?
I.e. where exactly in the beaTunes user interface do thing not show
up?</li>
<li>Just to make sure that there is deeper problem, could you
please send me your logs? <a href=
"http://help.beatunes.com/kb/troubleshooting/where-are-the-beatunes-logs">
http://help.beatunes.com/kb/troubleshooting/where-are-the-beatunes-...</a>
tells you where to find them and how to send them (zipped!)</li>
<li>beaTunes honors the system's default language. Perhaps <a href=

helps you. If not, let me know.</li>

<p>Thanks for the fast response, furthermore on a Saturday !!</p>
<p>Things don't show up in the main window where all my library
appears when<br>
"Music" is clicked on the left side. I don't seem to have problems
with BPM, but colour and tone info of analysed songs seem to
disappear.</p>
<p>Yesterday I thought I might ease the problem by collecting
PUID's for my<br>
entire library before re-analysing songs with missing info but
having more<br>
than 20.000 songs the JAVA engine seems to overload before being
able to get<br>
to the end of the task. Tried three times (after reboot), same
result.</p>
<p>In the meantime I'm reorganising my library and adding song for
analysis by<br>
alphabetical order, but still (I guess) won't be able to search for
the<br>
PUID's because it only seems to work for the entire library at
once.</p>
<p>I've changed the regional setting for non-Unicode programs but
it doesn't<br>
seem to have any effect, even if my systems language is set to
English<br>
already. Don't quite get it. Anyway, that's really not such a
trouble...</p>
<p>Thanks,</p>

<p>first of all, about the language problem.</p>
<p>In <code>C:\Program Files\beaTunes3</code> there are two
files:</p>
<p><code>beaTunes3.l4j.ini</code> and
<code>beaTunes3.l4j.ini.template</code>. Open each one of them with
Notepad and add the line</p>
<p>-Duser.language=en</p>
<p>Then save them.</p>
<p>That should switch the language to English.</p>

<p>about the disappearing colors/keys:</p>
<p>I believe this is a bug that has already been fixed in the
current dev snapshot: <a href=
"http://www.beatunes.com/download/beaTunes-3-0-5-SNAPSHOT-jre-win.exe">
http://www.beatunes.com/download/beaTunes-3-0-5-SNAPSHOT-jre-win.exe</a></p>
<p>Can you please try the snapshot and let me know, whether you can
still observe the issue?</p>
<p>In any case, in the beaTunes general preferences is a checkbox
called "embed non-iTuns fields". You might want to check this, in
order to keep the analyzed info not only in the internal database,
but also in your audio files.</p>
<p>Regarding PUIDs - that's not necessarily a Java problem, more
likely an Amplifind/MusicIP problem. However, if you want to import
PUIDs and the bulk method does not work, please simply select the
corresponding analysis task, but make sure to <em>only</em> look up
PUIDs.</p>
<p>Thanks,</p>

<p>Thanks again for your help. The language problem is solved
through the extra<br>
line of code, great ! Concerning the embedded fields, that option
was<br>
already ticked in my preferences. But now rebuilding my library
and<br>
re-analysing my songs (with for the moment 9849 items in library)
it seems<br>
to work. Installing the snapshot dev I lost colour info after some
restarts<br>
of the program in only 3 songs. So I'll continue building up my
library<br>
hoping I will not loose further info, but it seems to work
better.</p>
<p>Best regards, keep up the good work,</p>
