problem downloading trial beatunes 3 - schemas do not match

Hello,
I am trying to download the trial version of beatunes 3 but keep getting the following message boxes:

Fatal Error
Schema evolution failed: org.h2.jdbc.JdbcSQLException: Column "INDEX" not found; SQL statement: ALTER TABLE_Songs ALTER COLUMN index RENAME TO indexColumn [42122-155]

Error
Schema versions do not match
Required: 19
Found: 13

both messages appear after beatunes updates its database. I have used a different trial version of beatunes in the past and had problems with it crashing - probably had something to do with the damaged RAM module that was recently discovered in my macbook. I have 4 new gigs of RAM now and really want to download and purchase the full version of beatunes.
Please help me with the schema matching issue.
Other problem I am having.... Beatunes will not quit - beatunes icon window stays up on screen - must force quit.

    Hi,

    is there anything important in your beaTunes database? I.e. did you run a lot of analysis before this problem started to occur?

    Background: It's easy to get this to work again, but you would loose beaTunes' internal database.

    Thank you for the prompt reply.
    No, I had an older version of beatunes on my machine before, but now I would like start new with the latest version. I am not worried about losing internal database. What do I need to do to make the new beatunes 3 work?

    Hey,

    are you certain you deleted the right Database folder?
    I'm asking, because if you're on Windows and have used beaTunes for a while, you might have deleted the one in the old location...

    I am on a macbook. beaTunes is no longer in my applications folder and when
    I "search this mac" for beaTunes, it does not show up. I also emptied my
    trash.

    Hi,

    like most apps on OS X, beaTunes does not keep its data in the app itself, but in a sub-folder of the user specific library.

    The folder you need to delete is:
    ~/Library/Application Support/beaTunes/Database

    If you're on Lion, you won't see this folder, because Finder is hiding it from you. You the Go -> Go to folder menu item of Finder to get there.

    I'm on snow leopard not lion. what is the folder called? I tried copy and
    paste on:
    ~/Library/Application Support/beaTunes/Database
    which didn't find anything...

    I had a trial beaTunes in the past and loved it for my DJing purposes. But
    then had a bad RAM which screwed up my machine. Got all new 4 gigs of RAM
    last week and machine is like new,except for this problem with beaTunes. Is
    it possible that the trial is the problem? I am willing to buy beaTunes - as
    long as I know it will work...

    You the Go -> Go to folder menu item of Finder to get there.

    means, Finder has a menu called

    "Go"

    That menu has a sub-item called

    "Go to folder"

    Using that menu is the best way to find the correct database folder.
