Not Recognizing Registration Key on New Version of BeaTunes
Hello, my naime is Connor Flynn and I purchased Beatunes 2 for
my MacBook Pro on March 4, 2011. I downloaded the recommend
Beatunes 3 update and treid re-entering my Resitration key (even
though I figured my registration would carry over between versions)
and my key is not recognized. I paid $31.95 to use your software
which has given me no problems until now. I would like a solution
to this issue promptly.
Thank you,
Connor Flynn

Hi Connor,
as stated in the upgrade notice and also in the FAQs, the upgrade from beaTunes 2 to beaTunes 3 is not free, because it is a major version step.
You can purchase an upgrade license for $11.95 from http://www.beatunes.com/beatunes-buy.html or go back to beaTunes 2 (download: http://www.beatunes.com/beatunes-download-old.html). If you choose to do the latter, please note that the old beaTunes 2 database is gone by now and that it will be freshly created. I.e. you will loose data, unless you have a backup copy of your old beaTunes 2 database. To avoid this problem, export your metadata before downgrading. Details are described in http://help.beatunes.com/kb/backup-and-migration/moving-to-a-new-co...
Hope this helps,
