Manual tap for BPM

Hi, I have a lot of jazz and the BPM from the web or the ones calculate by Beatunes are off. When I use the manual tap, I often get a message saying tap too short or too long. I would like to be able to tap on every 8 count for fast music but I can't, the system wont let me do that.

Any solutions?

    The system probably recognizes that your tapping is not very precise - I'd suggest tapping more often (e.g. 2 or 4 count) and dividing 2 or 4 once you have a decent value.
