Adding Key to Grouping of already Inspected files?
I just got beaTunes and love it.
I just ran a batch of files, did Inspection and Analysis. I only
got to realize the plugins after I've done all of the process. So,
I installed the Key to Grouping plug and was hoping I could add the
keys to the Grouping on the file I Inspected and Analyzed. I ran
Analysis again to see if I could get the plugin to pick the keys
and copy to Grouping but nothing happened. So, the question is, can
this plugin add keys to grouping in files that already got
Inspected and Analyzed by beaTunes?

Actually... that's the only way that plugin works. It needs the results of a prior analysis.
Did you get the plugin from the plugin manager in the preference pane?

Well, this plug is simply not working on my machine. I've rebooted the program and took time to do a whole new batch of files before I reply, Inspected and Analyzed but the Grouping stays empty. I mean, does the plugin suppose to add a button or something to the UI or it works automatically in the background? because I can't see where the plug add anything (if it suppose to).
Being able to add the keys to Grouping would be beneficial to me, since I can use them in my Serato setup.
Just in case that matters, I am on Win 7 x64.
Thanks for helping.

"Did you get the plugin from the plugin manager in the preference pane?" Yes, I did.

Hey,
the plugin is an analysis plugin. That means that you have to select all the songs you want the plugin to work on, then click analyze.
In the analysis option dialog that appears, you will find the plugin. Enable just the plugin, nothing else. Then hit analyze.
That should do it.

OK, I see... it works now.
A note for other users who may want to use this plugin for the sole purpose of adding the key info to Serato, you don't need to copy the Key info in beaTunes to the Grouping tag. Serato has a Key tag that reads beaTunes info.

Actually, to make this info complete:
If you are using beaTunes together with iTunes, you have to check the "embed non-iTunes fields" in the beaTunes general preferences for beaTunes to embed the key field into your files.
