Can anyone help me install the required programs to enable plug-ins for beatunes?
I've tried installing Maven but I'm not sure what to do when it says:
3) Add the bin directory to your PATH, eg:

Unix-based Operating Systems (Linux, Solaris and Mac OS X)
  export PATH=/usr/local/apache-maven-3.0.x/bin:$PATH
Windows 2000/XP
  set PATH="c:\program files\apache-maven-3.0.x\bin";%PATH%

Also, I'm trying to download JDK which is a requisite for Maven but I don't know which one I have to download since it does not explicitly state a Mac OS X 10.6.8 version for it.
It would be helpful to list them step by step so I can follow along. It's also interesting that there is no thread regarding this. I would imagine others to have similar problems...

    Hi,

do you want to develop plugins or do you want to install a plugin?
For running plugins, you don't need Maven or an extra JDK.

I want to use plugins. What would I need instead?

For using plugins you need none of the above.
If you are using beaTunes 3, http://blog.beatunes.com/search/label/API should help you.
