Hey there,
This does not seem to work really well in Windows, I'm starting to think.
Does manually resetting an album work for you at all (in iTunes)?
Also, can you please send your logs?
http://help.beatunes.com/kb/troubleshooting/where-are-the-beatunes-... tell you how.
Cheers,

Hi hendrik,
if by manually, you mean going to the album view and then dragging the album rating (next to love icon), then it does NOT work.
I have spent hours researching the issues to no avail until i stumbled on your site.
logs have been uploaded
thanks

Hey,
I checked the logs, and e.g. for
The album rating should have been reset to
0
(i.e. for a_2011_Jul by Stan Walker). Can you confirm this? And if it's not OK, can you manually reset the rating?

Hello
As you can see from the attached, there is still a rating assigned to the album. I have tried to manually reset but it always reverts back to 3 star.
There are number of tracks i have rated myself, one of them being Stan W (2 stars).
IF i understand your message properly, if the plugin had worked, i had to manually go in and reset all albums? it doesnt do it automatically?
Support Staff 6 Posted by hendrik on 24 Oct, 2015 01:18 PM
No. No Manual interaction should be necessary.
It should do it automatically.
BUT: If you cannot even do it manually, there is no way the plugin can do it automatically.
Any chance your files are not locally stored (but perhaps in iCloud) or are read-only?

the files are not read only and stored on my synology box so shouldn't be an issue as i have always made changes. The issue started when i updated ITunes.
I do agree with your comment though. I assumed Itunes was preventing somehow blocking the manual updates.
Any ideas on what else i can do? This really sucks :-(

Hello
I did some further investigation and looking into the library.xml generated when an export is done, there are only these 2 keys assigned to tracks. There no longer is an individual rating for a track. I believe there used to one?
<key>Album Rating</key><integer>20</integer>
<key>Album Rating Computed</key><true/>

I think the individual rating us only exported when it is actually set on the song.
Otherwise a rating of
0
is assume.Synology pop ups in this forum every now and then and so far not once in a good way. This is not to say, it does not work per se, but I'm under the impression that it's not perfect.

Hey,
not sure if you were notified, but I updated the album reset plugin from the blog. Perhaps this now works better for you as well...
